Skool CRM ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome extension and related services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password.
• API Keys: If you use our BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys) feature, your API keys are stored locally in your browser or encrypted in our cloud (Pro users only).
• Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card details.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Lead Data: Profiles you capture from Skool communities are stored locally in your browser by default.
• Usage Data: Anonymous analytics about feature usage to improve the product.
• API Usage: We track API call counts and costs (not the actual data) for billing purposes.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your Skool login credentials
• Content from communities you don't capture
• Browsing history outside of Skool
• Personal communications or messages

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Skool CRM service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send important service updates (not marketing)
• Improve our product based on usage patterns
• Provide customer support

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

By default, all lead data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it or enable cloud sync (Pro feature).

3.2 Cloud Storage (Pro Users)

Pro users can optionally sync data to our cloud infrastructure hosted on Cloudflare. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).

3.3 API Key Security

API keys stored in our cloud are encrypted using AES-GCM with unique encryption keys per user. We cannot read your plaintext API keys.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting), only as necessary to provide our services
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger or acquisition (with notice)

5. Third-Party Services

When you use enrichment features, data is sent to third-party APIs you configure (Perplexity, TryKitt, etc.) using your own API keys. Please review their privacy policies:

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Export all your data at any time via CSV
• Delete: Clear all local data from the extension settings
• Portability: Your data is stored in standard formats
• Opt-out: Disable cloud sync and keep data local only

7. Data Retention

Local data is retained until you delete it. Cloud data (Pro users) is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days. You can request immediate deletion by contacting support.

8. Children's Privacy

Skool CRM is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
